About
Rolling Stone says, “Lopez has landed on a sound that flies straight through multiple eras of rock, pop, and country.” Born and raised in Martinsburg, West Virginia, Lopez burst onto the scene with his debut EP Pilot and full-length album Onward (2015), produced by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb and released on Blaster Records. Lopez hit the ground running, touring relentlessly through the club and festival scenes, earning accolades like Rolling Stone Country’s “Best Things We Saw at AmericanaFest” two years in a row. And soon after being hailed as one of their “New Country Artists You Need To Know.”
In 2017, Lopez released his critically acclaimed sophomore album Red Arrow, featuring appearances by Vince Gill and Kenneth Pattengale of The Milk Carton Kids. Recorded at Nashville’s iconic Blackbird Studio D with producer Marshall Altman, Red Arrow received widespread praise, with American Songwriter calling it “truly electric.” The album further cemented Lopez as a rising star in Americana, garnering him a devoted fan base that continues to grow,
Lopez has also made his mark as a brand ambassador, partnering with Belk’s “Modern Southern Music” showcase, opening shows for legends like Zac Brown, Dave Matthews, and Tim McGraw. His partnership with the West Virginia Board of Tourism saw his music featured in national campaigns, further solidifying his status as an ambassador for his home state.
In 2020, Lopez teamed up with Grammy-nominated producer Robert Adam Stevenson, marking the beginning of a new creative chapter. His third album, The Other Side, was his first independent release, recorded at Sonic Ranch in El Paso, TX. The album’s success led to a European tour, including a memorable performance at the Ziggo Dome Arena in Amsterdam. The Other Side was later picked up by PMD Records for distribution in the Benelux, expanding Lopez’s international fan base.
Lopez’s most recent album, Magdalena (2023), was recorded in seclusion at his ranch in Magdalena, New Mexico. Co-produced with Stevenson, the album eventually led to multiple invitations to perform at the Grand Ole Opry, where he debuted his new single, “I’m Not Alone” (2024).
